Warranty Policy – E-appliance UG
Warranty Policy
Last updated: [Insert Date]
This Warranty Policy explains warranty coverage, claim procedures, exclusions and timelines for products purchased from E-appliance UG. Warranty terms may vary by product and manufacturer; where a product includes a manufacturer warranty, the manufacturer's terms apply in addition to this policy.
1. Warranty overview
Most products sold by E-appliance UG include a manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty duration and scope are specified on the product page or in the product documentation. Where we provide our own warranty for an item, the warranty period will be clearly stated on the product page.
2. Manufacturer warranties
If a product carries a manufacturer warranty:
- Manufacturer warranty terms (length, coverage, claim process) take precedence for manufacturer-covered faults.
- You should retain the product packaging, proof of purchase, and any warranty cards or documentation provided with the product.
- Manufacturer may require that repairs or replacements be handled through their authorised service centres.
3. E-appliance UG warranty (where provided)
For products where E-appliance UG offers a direct warranty, the product page will state the warranty period and coverage. Our warranty may include repair, replacement, or refund at our discretion.
4. What is covered
- Manufacturing defects and faults that prevent normal operation under normal use.
- Major functional failures not caused by external damage, moisture, or power surges (subject to manufacturer terms).
5. What is NOT covered
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidental damage, neglect, improper installation or modification.
- Consumables and accessories that wear out during normal use (batteries, filters, bulbs) unless specifically covered.
- Damage from liquid ingress or exposure to extreme environments unless specified by the manufacturer.
- Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents) that does not affect product functionality.
- Faults caused by third-party repairs or non-authorised service providers.
6. Warranty claim process
- Contact support within the timeframe required (report visible faults within 48 hours of delivery; warranty claims as per product warranty period).
- Provide your order number, photos/videos showing the issue, and a description of the fault.
- Follow instructions from our support team — this may include returning the item for inspection or visiting an authorised service centre.
- We or the manufacturer will inspect the item and decide repair, replacement or refund based on the inspection and the applicable warranty terms.
7. Proof of purchase
Proof of purchase (order number, invoice, receipt) is required for all warranty claims. Without valid proof of purchase we may be unable to accept warranty requests.
8. Repair, replacement & turnaround time
Where repair or replacement is approved:
- Turnaround times vary by product, part availability and service centre capacity.
- We aim to complete inspections within 3–7 business days after receipt; repairs or replacements may take longer depending on manufacturer response and parts lead times.
- We will notify you of expected timelines and keep you updated during the process.
9. Shipping for warranty claims
Shipping costs for warranty returns depend on the cause:
- If the fault is due to a manufacturing defect or our error, we will cover return shipping or arrange a courier.
- If the fault is not covered by warranty (e.g., customer damage), shipping costs for returns or repairs are the customer's responsibility.
10. Transferability
Manufacturer warranties may be transferable according to the manufacturer's terms. E-appliance UG warranties (if provided) are generally valid to the original purchaser only unless stated otherwise.
11. Escalation & disputes
If you are not satisfied with the outcome of a warranty claim, contact our support for escalation. If unresolved, disputes will be handled under the governing law specified in our Terms & Conditions.
